If you’re in the mood for some adrenaline pumping fun, then you need to visit Go Ape!
This summer, I wanted to make sure I tried new activities and made the most out of my summer and boy did I do that.
Zip Line with Go Ape
I got the opportunity to zip line with Go Ape in Rockville, MD via their TreeTop Adventure activity and I must say I had the time of my life.
Go Ape Treetop Adventure is way more than just zip lines. It’s a 2-3-hour journey through the forest canopy as you take on suspended obstacles, Tarzan swings and breathtaking zip lines – all with an incredible view of the public parks where we operate.

I visited the Rockville, MD location with my sister and niece to participate in a day of fun. We were greeted and grouped with a few other participants and went through a brief yet thorough safety training. This training is hands on where you get to actually test out the equipment and walk across a tight rope before you start your adventure.
The number of sections in the course depends on your location. The Rockville location has 6 treetops – each increasing in height the further along you go. The highest platform is 50ft while the longest zip line is a whopping 400ft. There was a treetop we skipped because while I don’t mind living on the wild side – I prefer doing it on the ground. There were a few adrenaline junkies who had no problem climbing difficult version of the treetops on the course and I applauded them from the ground.
Personally, what I enjoyed most about this – other than the zip lining – was the feeling of accomplishment that came over me after crossing a platform. I was extremely proud of myself.
