Seasons 52 Restaurant Review | Wild Alaskan Salmon | Maine Lobster Tail | Boneless Beef Short Rib | Food Blogger

There’s a really good meaning behind the name Seasons 52. Each season you’re sure to find something new on the menu prepared with fresh, in-season ingredients.

Seasons 52 does not slack on presentation. Expect colorful food and drinks and a little bit of everything on the menu.

Salad

My sister and I both agreed the Watermelon & Heirloom Tomato Salad was tasty. The watermelon was probably the sweetest watermelon I’ve tasted in a very long time. Great presentation. The salad included onions but they weren’t overbearing nor did they take away from the taste of watermelons and tomatoes.

Flatbreads

We tried the Lobster & Fresh Mozzarella flatbread. For me, initially it was great but half way into it, I bit into a seasoning or pepper that overpowered the flatbread. I couldn’t eat anymore after that.

Entrees

My sister ordered the Wild Alaska Salmon accompanied with the Maine Lobster Tail. The top of the salmon was layered with seasoning but the inside wasn’t. The sweet corn risotto was creamy and fresh.

Now, let me tell you about the greatness that is the Boneless Beef Short Rib. I am a person who believes every item in an entree should be able to “hold its own” and deliver in taste and texture and the short rib did just that. Give me a plate of the beef short rib without the horseradish cream (which isn’t needed in my humble opinion), grits, and carrots, and I’m a happy camper. The ribs were tender, juicy, and oh so tasty. Due to time constraints, I packed my ribs to go and used them as leftovers for the next 48 hours. I ate my ribs with seasoned rice I cooked at home and really didn’t want the ribs to ever finish. It was quite some time since I had beef short ribs but because of Season 52, I don’t see myself going without them for that long again.

I too had the Maine Lobster Tail accompaniment. My sister and I both felt the lobster tail lacked seasoning. It was bland. I wouldn’t recommend it in that state. Should they decide to thoroughly season the lobster tail, it would be a great addition to meals.

Desserts

We were given an assortment of desserts to choose from. What is unique about their dessert presentation is the fact that they all come in small glasses layered like parfaits. Our favorites? The Key Lime Pie, Pecan Pie, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Torte. Though small, they were all packed in a way where you get enough of everything to satisfy your palate.

Drinks

I really enjoyed the Strawberry Basil Infusion. I do wish it was colder but that’s a personal preference of mine.

All In All

We enjoyed our dining experience at Seasons 52 for the most part. The service was great. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. You can tell they work really well as a team at the North Bethesda location.

We were there past closing time but nobody rushed us out. They insisted we take our time and thoroughly enjoy our meals.
