Four Day Trip To Ft. Lauderdale, FL

black woman airport

I’m very interested in relocating, and one place on my radar is Florida. Where in Florida? I don’t know exactly, but I decided to take a quick trip to Ft. Lauderdale, FL to check out apartments and get a feel for the area. I thought my trip would’ve been so much fun, but it wasn’t.

I booked my hotel through Priceline’s Name Your Price. Of course, I wounded up with one of the hotels I didn’t want but I couldn’t back out.

Long story short, I ended up having to spend 2 days of my trip looking for another hotel to stay in. The second hotel was over an hour away, so I spent most of the day traveling to the second hotel which was out in the boondocks. Though it was far, I really liked the second hotel. The rooms were really nice, and the beds (ended up with a double Queen) were comfortable.

That night I only had time to find a BJ’s Restaurant to eat at. Unfortunately, my main course wasn’t cooked correctly.

My last day of the trip, I had to check out super early so I could drop off the car to the Park N Ride and get back to the airport in time to catch my flight.

I never got the chance to apartment hunt or visit any attractions. What made my trip a bit easier? My transportation. Without it, I couldn’t get back and forth to my second hotel.

The 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander is a compact SUV. It seats 7 and starts at a little over $23,000. My favorite features of this SUV are the rearview camera, blind spot warning (so great), and the adaptive cruise control (worked perfectly for my long drives).
