Running my own business isn’t easy. I love it, I promise you I do but it’s hard work. It means long hours on my computer composing blog posts and editing photos and videos. With all the time I spend on my computer, I find myself grabbing snacks and lots of them. I unconsciously found myself grabbing chocolate bars and salty snacks. One day I realized, as my jeans got a bit more fitted, I wasn’t making the best snacking decisions. Believe me when I tell you, the calories in bags of chips, cups of ice cream, and mini chocolate bars add up – and not in a good way. I knew I needed to make a change so instead of cutting back on all snacks, I created a game plan for operation Healthy Snacking.
I listed all of the snacks I usually eat and replaced those unhealthy snacks with healthier options. While shopping in Giant Food store, I saw some interesting Weight Watchers products and decided to try them out.
I opted for the Cookies & Cream Ice Cream Bars because I’ve always loved ice cream bars. I remember eating them from time to time after school growing up. This swap allows me to be able to enjoy a sweet treat without feeling guilty about packing on the calories. It’s also the perfect mix of ice cream and chocolate. Quick and convenient, just like I like my snacks.
I swapped my potato chips for the Jolly Time Popcorn and I’m happy I did. I usually snack on chips in the middle of the day while blogging and now I can enjoy more popcorn for less calories than a bag of chips. Win-win for me.
What are some not-so-healthy snacks you indulge in that can be swapped for a healthier Weight Watchers treat? They have such a wide variety of snacks to choose from. I’m sure you’ll find something you like.
Want to try some healthy snacks by Weight Watchers? Now through 9/28/16, stop by your local Giant Food store and save $3 instantly when you buy any five participating Weight Watchers products (excluding Heinz SmartOnes & Meeting Room products). While supplies last.
Let me get back to enjoying my ice cream bar without the guilt afterward. Ha!
